The dry, cold season had just ended. Now it was time for the colourful plants with overwhelming scents to appear, and for the flying critters to begin their incessant symphony. Most importantly for him and his kin, it was time to move.
The group was rather small now, being dispersed when food was harder to find, but by the time it reaches the breeding grounds they will cover the plains like an ocean of bodies stomping the dirt until no greenery remains.
