A Hatzegopteryx collapses after choking when trying to devour a young Elopteryx. Sometimes the (big) mouth speaks louder than the (tiny) brain.
Got the idea from a conversation with ~painted-wolfs-den about how azhdarchids may have occasionally tried to swallow something too big and choke to death, as has been recorded in herons.

In that case the problem may not be that the prey is too big, but that it was alive. Let's imagine that the Elopteryx panicked inside his throat and flapped it's wings and moved it's head, getting stuck in the process
