It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Nature: Damn Scary. Something like 5 years ago, me and some classmates of mine saw on the roof of a building near our school to seagulls that killed an injured pigeon. Not a pretty scene.
Still, this blew my mind

Well, it happens where i live... Sometimes seagulls dive into pigeon flocks, basically spear one of them with their beaks and then let him/her fall down on the street. Last month i saw it: the poor pigeon was still alive when the seagull arrived, he snapped his neck (or speared him with the beak, i'm not sure) and then tried to move the prey to a safer place (they were in the middle of a street with cars going back and forth!).
Too bad a guy scared the seagull, so the corpse remained on the street and i had to take it and throw it in the nearby river
